December Favorites ft. Maple Holistics

Products of December

I haven't done a monthly favorites post in a long time, so I thought I would share my favorite products of the last month of 2017. As cliche as it may sound, I really can't believe 2017 is coming to a close. I feel like it was just summer and now I'm preparing for New Years.

Anyway, many of these products have to do with skincare, as I have been trying to come up with a proper skincare regiment for myself. I have combination skin so it can be difficult. Maple Holistics was kind enough to send me a few products to try, and I have really enjoyed them. I am still searching for products that work well with my skin, but these have been great so far.

I also included one hair item, one makeup item, and one clothing item as well.

Hope you all had special plans for New Years and stay safe <3

This concealer provides a full coverage finish. I like it because it does not take a lot of product to get a smooth look. I apply it with a brush and then dab it with my fingers. Since it's such a cheap price at $5, you really can't go wrong.

Love this stuff. This oil is very moisturizing without feeling super greasy and has a pleasant scent that isn't too fragrant to irritate skin. I don't recommend using this product more than once a day or 4-5 times a week. For me, since it is extremely moisturizing it has the potential to cause me to break out if I use it too often so I usually only apply it at night or when I need extra hydration. A little goes a long way, so even though it is on the pricey end at $52, it lasts a long time since you only need one to three drops per use.

You know when your hair just feels gross because you haven't washed it in forever? This dry shampoo fixes that. This is the next best thing to washing my hair in the shower. It makes my hair feel and appear less greasy and makes it feel more clean. It also has a nice scent which is a bonus.

This is another great moisturizing oil Maple Holistics was kind enough to send me. Unfortunately it did not agree with my skin and caused some minor breakouts on my face, but it is still great to use on other areas of the body. I like to use it on my hands since during winter they are prone to be dry. I like using gentle and natural products without harsh chemicals, so this is a product I enjoy.

Maple Holistics also sent this toner. It can be difficult for me to find a toner I like since they tend to be harsh, but I really like this one. Since it's alcohol-free, it is quite gentle yet cleanses the skin. For me it didn't necessarily get rid of my acne, but since it contains witch hazel, it helps keep breakouts under control by further cleansing the skin to make sure it's free from all makeup, dirt, etc. I use it at night after I wash my face with my Purity cleanser. I like that Maple Holistics uses natural ingredients in their products, and if you want to try any of them for free I will insert a link here

This is currently my favorite cleanser. I find that other cleansers, especially ones with a lot of fragrance or ones that claim to get rid of acne, irritate my skin. I like this one so much because it is very gentle but makes my skin feel very clean. By the way, it is a bit cheaper on Amazon versus other stores, so I included a link with the discounted price.

Not much to say about a lip balm, but this is perfect for keeping lips moisturized for a long period of time. My lips have been very dry this winter, and this has helped tremendously. It doesn't smell or taste great, but it gets the job done.

This has been a great basic not only this month but the past couple of months. It makes almost any outfit look cuter and more put together. I wore it to school a lot with black skinny jeans, a cute tee, and boots or sneakers. It has sort of a cropped fit rather than an oversized fit, which I find very cute. I definitely recommend a denim jacket like this one since it's so versatile.

Hope you've enjoyed this month's favorites and have a happy new year!!
